This is absolutely a movie person's movie. This is a brilliant showcase in how to show rather than tell as it takes on the difficult task of telling a story with no sound beyond music. It harkens back to the time of silent film and the difficulty many actors faced as the film industry rapidly changed. I've only written one completely silent short myself, and that was incredibly difficult. I can't imagine the difficulty in writing a full movie with nothing but what's shown on screen. This film is inspiring in that it shows that it can be done, and the power that film as a visual medium can bring to audiences. I don't have to write a completely silent film to fully utilize the unique medium of film in that way.
