I didn't win. I heard back both from Page International and NYC Midnight. I'd like to say I didn't get my hopes up, but that would be a lie. It was a bit of a hit to the ole ego, but there are plenty of contests to go. One positive, I technically placed 8th in my heat for NYC Midnight. I went into that round knowing that my story wasn't the strongest, but I was still hoping for another shot in the final round. As for Page International...looking back on those stories there is a lot I could and have improved on since. I submitted to that contest months ago and feel as though I've really grown since then. For now, I'm putting my romcom on hold while I get to work on another full-length screenplay I've had in the works for a while. It'll technically work as a sequel to my last full-length, but I hope to make it stand on its own as well. So with that, it's time to write.
